Business Development Manager – Ireland

 

(Primary Area; Northern Ireland. Will include some travel/work to ROI)

 

Reports to: Sales Director

 

Job Objective (Purpose):

 

To develop new business for the Group companies (Around Noon Ltd, Around Noon Bakery, Around Noon Print) and its seamless integration into the business. Manage nominated current key accounts, develop and coordinate customer care, drive NPD and seasonal/promotional activity that will assist the company to grow in a profitable manner.

 

This is achieved by:

 

A knowledge of products ranges and commercial structures.

 

Knowledge of customers.

 

Knowledge of current market trends

 

Knowledge of ordering trends of customers

 

Working with customers to define needs

 

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities (Job Duties and Tasks)

 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategically manage the company’s growth within your accounts to ensure the expansion of sales opportunities for the company’s products.

 

Liaise with key accounts on a regular basis to ensure they continue to be satisfied with the company’s products and service and resolve any customer concerns.

 

Identify and take advantage of opportunities for new business and provide product guidance and pricing and delivery information to potential customers.

 

Manage the launch of new products for the company and follow up with customers in order to measure market reaction.

 

Monitor levels of customer NPD and Seasonal activity and assist key accounts with the marketing of own brand and company branded products.

 

Manage key accounts and monitor merchandising/availability and product sales.

 

Analyse and feedback customer comments to ensure high levels of customer care.

 

Design and deliver formal corporate presentations relative to revenue streams for own brand products and new product concepts for the purpose of increasing sales revenue.

 

Contribute to new product development, customer care and the company’s approach to quality through the presentation of customer feedback and market research

 

Provide input to the company website in order to exploit its use as an effective marketing tool.

 

Represent the company at trade shows and exhibitions as required, ensuring high visibility of the company stand and sufficient advertising and promotional materials.

 

Liaise with the Customer Service Department, Production and Dispatch/Delivery teams regarding scheduling requirements for new orders and any issues regarding key account orders.

 

Meet regularly with the management team to ensure effective communication of management information, and provide weekly sales activity reports and other information that will enhance management decision making and inform future company direction.

 

Any other duties, within reason and capability, as determined by the Sales Director.

 

Health and Safety

 

Comply with all health and safety requirements, following company policies and procedures

 

Wear all required protective clothing, such as overalls, gloves, shoe covers, headgear, etc., in designated areas

 

Be constantly aware of any possible hazards and report these to your supervisor immediately

 

When using machinery/company vehicles, follow all safety rules and company policies and procedures regarding machine usage. Never compromise the safe usage of the machinery by removing safety guards etc., from the machines

 

General

 

This is an extremely fast paced position within the company and you will interact with most company departments. You will be influenced by problems needing instant action.

Able to work flexibly as required to ensure business needs are met

 

Able to travel as required

 

Full clean driving licence. A company vehicle will be provided.
