Responsible for all maintenance on buildings and ensuring machinery runs to their maximum efficiency and output. This includes preventative maintenance, managing breakdowns of mechanical and electrical equipment.
Effectively resolve any maintenance issues to be resolved on each shift and small projects to the right skills in the team, planning and managing effective works.
Effectively carry out preventative maintenance of all machinery and equipment on site keeping up to date and detailed records.
Co–ordinate fire safety checks including daily panel, weekly break glass and monthly equipment checks.
Adhere to daily and weekly checks to ensure smooth operation of site.
Identify business improvement opportunities within the organization.
Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health & safety, food safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors.
Improve production and packing equipment effectiveness, driving increased machine reliability through optimized maintenance program.
Carry out repair and installation activities.
Develop and implement fault–finding
Assist in team projects and any other reasonable tasks.
Proactively seek out and carry out maintenance works.
Conduct “Ugly Walks”.
The ability to prioritize and to move quickly from one issue to another.
Qualified Engineer with Electrical bias, experience in Mechanical, Automation or Process Engineering beneficial but not essential
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role
Demonstrated track record preferably in an FMCG
Good Communication Skills in English (interpersonal, listening, written and oral) and a working knowledge of English
Team player, able to guide, steer and coach a team
Experience in working within a multi–disciplinary & cross–functional team
Food manufacturing experience preferable
Must be fully flexible to work weekends on rotation
