Around Noon are seeking to recruit a Night Shift Production Manager, based at our Newry site, to lead a new Night Shift. This factory is a fast–paced, demanding environment that requires an organised, structured Manager used to setting high standards.
As a key member of the Production Team you will be expected to effectively manage the day–to–day line operations and to ensure that all manufacturing performance KPI’s are achieved in line with Company procedures and expectations
On a day to day basis you will be expected to deal with the fulfilment of customer orders & individual line performance whilst providing first line management expertise to team of between 20 and 50 people.
Ensure overall responsibility for production area; effectively managing human and material resources to ensure that products are produced to the highest quality standards in a timely and cost efficient manner.
Ensure the highest standards of hygiene and good housekeeping are maintained, promote and maintain an ‘audit ready’ standard of hygiene and GMP, develop & coach Line Operatives to full utilise their potential and maximise profitability through the control of line efficiency, batch yields and the reduction of out of life, shortages, waste and complaints.
Promote a safe working environment culture and conduct daily Health & Safety checks on the lines of responsibility
Achieve or exceed expected Line performance results, through planning, organising and measuring resources to ensure that targets for production are met within set parameters
Own training and development of the individuals on the Line to enable progression to resource growth or to replace current roles
Contribute to and support the business with programmes to facilitate continuous improvement in business performance
Previous experience as FGM/Production Manager in a Food manufacturing environment, chilled or high care preferred
Track record of implementing and sustaining change within a short shelf life, high pace environment
Demonstrate strong leadership and coaching skills – be passionate about people and their development
Demonstrate excellent organisation, problem solving and planning skills – have implemented good systems and processes, influencing behavioural change
Demonstrable experience of delivering improvements in reduction of waste, labour cost, machine efficiencies, etc
Proactive cooperation – the ability to work collaboratively with Technical, Sales and maintenance demonstrating commitment to achieve group objectives
Financial / commercial awareness
Ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure
